Dan Verst, a native and resident of Cold Spring, Kentucky is also a proud University of Kentucky fan. A 1981 graduate of Bishop Brossart High School, Dan was introduced to Hicon by his brother Jack and entered the ranks of the company in 1988. After a four year stint with Hicon’s Masonry division, Dan was called upon to lead a new “start-up” restoration division of Hicon. Dan set a early goal of achieving superior quality for Hicon clients. In achieving that goal, Hicon Restoration has become the market leader in residential projects. Through the years, the company has restored numerous chimneys, historic home facades, and provided a host of residential masonry and concrete repair services. Dan is proud of this Hicon division’s accomplishments and of the firm’s steadfast requirement of quality workmanship. When away from Hicon, Dan spends time with his wife, Amy, and their four children. “Go Blue!”

Known for his “can do” attitude, Dave Wetzel began his career with Hicon in 2007. A “west sider” and Oak Hills High School graduate, Dave has over 30 years of experience in chimney related repairs and masonry repair. Working as a Senior Project Manager with Hicon, Dave is one of those people on which a company and customer can depend. He has left his positive mark on many Cincinnati area homes. Dave can often be seen with his “Mister Clean” signature appearance on the jobs. Dave, his wife Christie and two girls live in Bridgetown.

Shanda began her career with Hicon in 2006 as an Office Assistant and was quickly promoted to Office Manager in 2008. She has worked in the construction industry for over 34 years. A true Westsider, she was born, raised, and still lives in the Bridgetown area. She enjoys spending time golfing, traveling, and attending the University of Cincinnati football games with her husband Eric. Also, Shanda spends a lot of her time with her two cats Nippert and Lucy.

Steve is a 2014 graduate of the University of Cincinnati where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management. Steve was born and raised in the Akron area and is a lifetime Cleveland Sports fan. Steve resides in East Oakley with his wife and two young children.

Frank Clayton started his career at Hicon back in 1984 as a laborer in the Paving Division. In 1988 Frank was promoted to a foreman and began running residential and commercial jobs for Hicon. . Frank has run small jobs in customer’s back yards to major projects including Kings Island, Xavier University, and Coney Island. After 30 years in the field Frank was promoted to our Safety Director in 2018. Frank’s attention to detail and leadership will help him succeed in this position.

Frank lives in Northern Kentucky with his daughter who will be graduating from NKU in 2019. Frank is a University of Kentucky basketball fan and an Ohio State football fanatic.

Chris Friedhoff began his Hicon career with the Restoration Division of Hicon Inc. in 1999 and worked as a foreman on many residential projects in the tri-state area. Chris’s career in construction actually began when he was a student at East Central High School in Indiana, where he began dabbling in unit masonry on the weekend. After graduating, Chris attended Purdue University and studied Building Construction Technology for a time before coming to Hicon. After three years, due to a retirement, Chris was promoted to Field Operations Manager of Hicon’s Masonry Division and was responsible for quality control and safe operations on projects. In January 2017, Chris was brought into the office to work as a Project Manager. A true construction technician, Chris is often called upon by all divisions of Hicon for his expertise. Chris lives in Sunman, Indiana with his wife, Terri and two children.

Chris began his career with Hicon in 1994 as a bricklayer. After two years he was promoted to a foreman. Chris ran jobs for 21 years before being promoted to Superintendent in 2017. Chris’s ability to run jobs safely and efficiently has been a huge asset to Hicon.

Chris is a 1988 graduate of Oak Hills high School and currently lives in Colerain with his wife Tammy and their three children.

Bruce Williams is one of those “unsung heroes” at Hicon. He began his career working as a craftsman installing caulking on new construction projects in northern California. After spending several years on the west coast, Bruce came back home to Cincinnati and began managing Hicon’s hectic yard operations in 2006. “Each day is a different adventure” according to Bruce as he masterfully schedules deliveries of material and equipment. A graduate of Fairfield High School, Bruce is an avid golfer. When not planning job deliveries, Bruce can be found planning his next golf shot on one of Cincinnati’s many public golf courses. He resides in Fairfield with his daughter.

Conner Verst began his career with Hicon in 2016 after receiving his Associate’s Degree in Construction Management/Civil Engineering from Cincinnati State. The 2014 Bishop Brossart High School Grad started with our Restoration Division in the field and was later moved over to our Paving and Retaining Wall Division. From there, Conner was promoted to the Project Manager position he holds now. Conner lives in Newport and enjoys the outdoors (hunting and fishing) when not working.

Our newest member of the team, Tom Andrews, was promoted this year to work in our Masonry Division. Tom began his career at Hicon in 2015 where he worked with our Restoration Division. When Tom started here he was working on finishing his degree which he received in 2019 in Construction Management from Northern Kentucky University. An East Central High School graduate, Tom lives in Guilford, Indiana with his dog, Mila.
